Fall 2024 Line Up!
Our conversation on Christian politics will be based on the video series (which we’ll view prior on our own) from Redeeming Babel’s The After Party, and followed by two Zoom conversations – one on October 2nd (6:30 pm CDT), with the second on October 22nd (again, 6:30 pm CDT). The series taps scriptural guidance shared by Russell Moore, David French, and Curtis Chang. This is a non-partisan video series that cautions against a “partisan mind” – so, it promises to spur great conversations! (See more info below.)
We had a wonderful inaugural season in Spring 2024, discussing two C.S. Lewis essays, reading John Dickson's Humilitas, discussing Dechurching via the new book by Davis and Graham, and wrapping-up with Jon Tyson's guidance for Creative Minorities.
​ Join Thoughtful Faith this fall (early October to mid-November) for three essential conversations! First off, get a better grasp of a Gospel-centered approach to politics via a video series and two Zoom conversations. And, then in November, join in a book study and Zoom conversation that focuses afresh on heaven and it’s calling for each of us in the here-and-now. ​​
On November 12th (6:30 pm CST), we’ll gather via Zoom to discuss What on Earth is Heaven? by former hospice doctor – Dr. James Paul. This is an insightful book by an Englishman who begins by noting that all of his early thoughts about heaven made him want to avoid the place -- Earth looked a lot better to him! But a deeper dive into the Bible revealed something different and that difference, he notes, begins right now.
